From the Roaster: This washed processed coffee exhibits a complex mélange of panela sugarcane, vanilla, maple, and a hint of fruit . We chose a medium/light approach to accentuate the sweeter characteristics. Our friends at Cosecha Traders in Colombia made this happen and we couldn't be more thrilled.
The Farmer: The story of the ASORCAFÉ producers' association is one defined by faith, tradition and fearlessness. It is telling of the tenacious character of the farmers in Inzá, and evidence that specialty coffee is a powerful vehicle to promote change.
They flew into the vast universe of specialty coffee motivated by the notion that
they could be paid more fairly for the high quality of their coffee. Unbeknownst to
them, they would later attract buyers from all over the world to their remote mountain
town, and in the process sway illicit crop production.
