From the Roaster: What Counts (February 2021 edition)

It’s what’s on the inside that counts. It feels that coffee has become less about the coffee itself but more about the level of sweetness that can be added or the trendy cup it’s delivered in. Starbucks releases their Christmas cup and there’s a “latte” of excitement.  The trendiness on social media of how complicated you can make your coffee add-ons has taken from the true essence of the coffee itself.

At RBR we believe that coffee isn’t a trend. Simply put, it is an international experience.  From the cultivation of small farms in Columbia harvesting their beans and selling at fair trade value.  That same farmer being able to bring housing and food to their farm hands and their families. The story is there. We just do not often get to hear about it. Not at River Bottom Roasters. Every cup tells our story. Actually, every cup tells their story.

Quality ingredients, ethically sourced, environmentally conscious, and community driven. That is River Bottom Roasters.  - Craig
